5 Fun Ways I Helped Spread Good Vibes at UNLEASH Rwanda!

1. Opening Ceremony Dances of the World

Picture this: 1200 talents and participants from all over the globe dancing together! I "designed" and co-led an energizer that became incredibly popular, inviting volunteers to showcase their country's dance moves. I'm using the word designed loosely here -- I’m pretty sure I got the idea from watching Megan Young at Ms. World. Anyway, the energy was electrifying and set the perfect festive tone! 

2. Behind-the-Scenes Magic in the Community Segment

I had the privilege of organizing the community part of the opening ceremony, which is an UNLEASH tradition of inviting former talents and facilitators to share their experiences. We selected and coordinated with five amazing members from different regions of Africa, rehearsed together, and worked behind the scenes to support them. They shared their inspiring answers to the question, "What does winning mean to you?" Their words created a powerful and engaging start to our event!

3. GAME NIGHT!

Our trivia nights were popular online during the pandemic. We finally brought the fun to life! The excitement was palpable, and it was amazing to see everyone laughing, cheering, and enjoying themselves in person. As for me, it's always fun to live my dream of being a game show host. 

4. More Dancing!

Dancing to "Paru-Paro G," the hit Filipino song, with my SDG group has become an UNLEASH tradition. We also kept the fun alive with the ambassadors’ awkward dance at the closing ceremony – a hilarious and much-loved classic!

5. Facilitator Snacks Exchange

For the second time, I organized a snack exchange where we tasted treats from around the world. Some friends even brought homecooked goodies! Sharing these delicious bites created wonderful bonds and unforgettable memories. I’m thrilled that even more facilitators participated this time—no coercion involved, I promise! I can’t wait to do it again.

Looking back at these moments always brings a smile to my face. And as the mayor of UNLEASH, I'm here for the vibes—I'll leave the important stuff to Ana and the rest of the team! ✨
